Windsor + winter + gorgeous old church + stunningly in-love couple + epic blue dress = MAGIC!
Steven and Kerry Ann were married at St Matthews Anglican Church in Windsor, New South Wales, on the most beautiful mid-winter afternoon, surrounded by their beloved friends and family (well, most of them, at least – cheers Covid19 for those surprise border closures!), and with their gorgeous children by their side.
Their love story is truly one of fairytales, filled with young love, intrigue, years spent apart, and finally a fall into love and commitment so deep, and so pure, that it required a special wedding to celebrate it- a wedding 28 years in the making!
Kerry Ann and Steven wanted the day to reflect their personalities, their awesomely relaxed natures, and the simple pleasures of their union. I was always focused on capturing their electric connection, their laughter, and the love surrounding them – and it wasn’t hard. After their tear-filled ceremony, we ran away together for simple, unposed portraits in McQuade Park, frolicking amongst the long shadows, just soaking up some alone time on their day of days. A hilarious, joyful reception followed at Windsor Wolves football club (they’re a dedicated football family!), and I left with little doubt they’d be partying long into the night.
This beautiful day was truly a joy to witness and photograph in my trademark chilled-out, documentary style (perfect for these relaxed lovers!), and by the end of the night I really felt like one of the family.
If ever you feel like you don’t believe in true love, just take a look at these two. They’ll soften even the hardest of hearts.
