Winter weddings are becoming more and more popular and I, for one, am stoked about it. There’s nothing better than beautiful winter light, warm fires, amazing foliage and cosy wedding parties.
Tash and Tim were married at Brindabella Hills Winery outside Canberra, on a beautiful sunny June afternoon, surrounded by 40 of their nearest and dearest. Brindabella Hills is an absolutely gorgeous location, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking to be married in the ACT – the food was lovely, the wine divine, and the ambience sheer perfection.
A quick post-ceremony photo shoot around the property with the happy couple gave us so many opportunities for gorgeous unposed portraits – Tash and Tim chose a documentary approach for their photography for two reasons – firstly, neither are big “photo people”, and secondly, they wanted to return to their beautiful guests on the winery patio. But I could have stayed out there and created relaxed wedding portraits for them all day, with all that amazing yellow foliage!
With only four hours of coverage, this wedding felt like the perfect length. It just goes to show you that you don’t need to have a full day wedding (or a full day of photography!) to capture one of the most important days of your lives. Good things come in small packages!
Oh, and did I mention the bride had BLUE HAIR? That seems important for you to know. She was radiant in her blueness!
Having a short, intimate wedding? I’m your gal. Get in touch, and let’s get your perfect wedding day rolling.
