Best. Wedding. Ever.
I was honoured to be asked to document the moment that Tim and Belinda were married at the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney. They’re both amazingly smart and accomplished people, and having an unconventional ceremony in a science museum was a perfect fit. They wanted wedding photography that was relaxed, unposed, and as clever as they are.
They had a beautiful and heartfelt ceremony in the Powerhouse boardroom, then together we had a great time running around the museum, exploring exhibits they hadn’t seen since they were children, laughing and dancing in the halls, and trying out as many of the experiments as we had time for. It was one of the most fun portraiture shoots I’ve ever been a part of, and I’m not going to lie and pretend that I don’t wish every wedding was like it.
They also had a lovely Chinese tea ceremony at their reception afterwards, but that part deserves its own post, so keep your eyes peeled!
Enjoy the fabulous fun of a people spending the happiest day of their lives running around such an excellent place. I think I’m falling in love with museum weddings, so call me if you have something similar in mind!
